Confession

Confession is a feature in Tomodachi Collection, and Tomodachi Life. A Mii can confess love to another Mii of opposite gender and establish a Sweetheart relationship.

Confessing

When a Mii wants to confess to another Mii, the player can choose to help him/her out. If the player chooses to help them out, the Mii will first ask the player how to confess his/her love:

Method	Outcome
Be traditional	The Mii will confess by saying "I love you".
Be romantic	The Mii will act romantic in their confession.
Be showy	The Mii will boast in their confession.
Be cute*	The Mii will act cute in their confession.
Act desperate	The Mii will beg their confession.
Use a line*	The player gives them a line to use.
Sing a song*	The Mii sings a short romantic tune.
Give a present*	The player gives them a food/treasure from their inventory.

Then, they will ask the player where to tell the confession, which can be in the

• Beach
• Observation Tower
• Concert Hall
• Classroom
• Café
• Park

The Café and Park will be unlocked after the first confession.

Finally, the Mii will ask if they need to change clothes before getting ready to confess. When the Mii confesses to the other Mii, the other Mii can either say "Sure!" and establish a relationship, or reject the confessor by saying in a echo voice "I'm sorry..." If the Mii being confessed to is not friendly enough to the confessor, that Mii may never show up, which counts as a rejection. If the Mii is already in a relationship, their significant other might appear to tell the confessing Mii that the two of them are together. Should the Mii get rejected, he or she will gain an immense amount of sadness and a decrease in the friendship level with the confessed Mii.

When a Mii is sad as a result of a rejection, the Mii sometimes will feel determined and try again. The location will always be the beach and they will always give a present. Like a normal confession, the confessed Mii will accept or reject the confessor. However, when rejecting the confessor confessed Mii says "Sorry, I'm just not interested..." instead or a friend of the other Mii will tell the confessor that the other Mii isn't interested or that he/she says "[Mii's name] and I going out now. I hope you're cool with that.". If rejected again, the Mii will either have all sadness removed or gain even more sadness.

If the player to tells the Mii not to confess, the Mii will say why not. The player can say either "Bad match," "You're crazy," "He's/She's taken," or "It's too soon." The Mii will acknowledge what the player said and gain some sadness. Once cheered up, there is a chance that the Mii may want to confess again in the future.

Alternatively, a Mii can question "I think [Mii's name] likes me. What do you think?" The player can choose "Go for it!" to have the Mii do an automatic confession to the chosen Mii. The Mii will proceed to confessing the other Mii. The location will be chosen randomly and the confessor will automatically "Be showy" to the other Mii. Like a normal confession, the confessed Mii will accept or reject the confessor, retaining the same consequences as a normal confession would. In this particular confession though, no other Miis can interrupt the confession. Sometimes, if the player chooses "Go for it!", the Mii will say, " I don't feel the same way, so whatever!"

Intervention

If the Mii being confessed to has strong bonds with multiple friends of opposite gender, there is a chance that one, or even two, other Mii(s) will interrupt the confession and try to steal him or her away. The rivaling Miis will shout "Wait!", pop up in hilarious ways (such as from the ocean or the locker), and confess their love to the same Mii. The confessed Mii will then have to choose between the two or three friends. If the confessed Mii chooses the first confessor, they automatically go into a relationship just like normal. If the confessed Mii chooses one of the other Miis that interrupted the confession, the player gets to decide if the two should establish a relationship. There is, however, also a chance that the Mii can reject them all. No matter the outcome, only the first confessor can get depressed if he or she was rejected. Rivaling Miis do not gain sadness when rejected.

Set Up

Sometimes, a friend of 2 Miis might try to set up a relationship between the two, and are of opposite genders. They will say 'I think [Name] needs a sweetheart. How about setting him/her up with [Name]? The player can say yes, no, or have the Mii choose a different partner to set up with.

Once the player said yes or selected a different partner, a strip of scenes will ensue. The first scene is at the train station  where the 2 Miis chat together while waiting for a train. The other friend watches the two Miis through a newspaper with an eyehole in it.

The second scene is at the amusement park. The two Miis will be together riding the merry-go-round, with the other friend watching them in a bear suit and giving the player hopeful looks.

The third scene at the Café. The two Miis will talk to each others while the other friend peeks through the window.

The final scene is the outcome at the fountain. The Miis will be walking together on the way home. They stop at the fountain and say their final words before parting. If the setup worked, the first Mii will say "I had the best time today!" and the other will say "Me too! Let's hang out again soon!" The friend Mii will give a sign of achievement and the two Miis will become sweethearts afterward. If the setup failed however, the first Mii will say "Thanks for hanging out today." and the other will say "Thank you too." Then, the two Miis will walk away and the friend Mii will have a sad face. The two Miis will become friends with each others if they have not done so. Should the set up fail, one of the Miis may question why would the friend set him or her up with the other Mii. If answered with "Perfect match!", the Mii may boost the friendship level with that other Mii.

The player can know if the setup will work or fail by a few signs, such as the Miis talking to each others often instead of staring out into the distance or if the Miis look very happy at the fountain.

Reasons why confessed Miis reject confessors

1. The confessed Mii is not intrested
2. The confessed Mii already has a relationship with a different Mii
