A shop check out from Miitomo

Shop Keepers are workers featured in the shops of Tomodachi Collection, Tomodachi Life, and Miitomo. They will sometimes be temporarily replaced by a Mii who is working part-time. Although unnamed in the main series, Miitomo gives this character an official name and gender as "Mr. Tomo".

Shop Keepers' appearance greatly differ across the entries of the Tomodachi series, along with each of their regional varieties. The American version features them with wooden block heads with facial features embedded onto their fronts, while the European versions feature them with robot heads and green LED eyes, and the Korean version features them with a yellow racing helmet with Korean text printed onto them. Tomodachi Collection and the Japanese version of Tomodachi Life features them with Kuroko stagehand masks. Each version is restricted to one design - they cannot be changed into another. In Miitomo, however, the face of the default male Mii is used, marking the first time the shop keeper uses an official face. If the player has friends on their Miitomo account, then Mr. Tomo will be replaced by one of those friends.

Trivia[]

  • In the Japanese version of Tomodachi Life, the store clerk appearance is based off the first Mii who was put on the island, their skin tone and gender. For example, if your main Mii is a female; during Christmas time the store clerk would be wearing the Santa dress or Santa Suit if the main Mii is a male.
  • The European shopkeeper has their Tone and Accent set to zero.
  • The U.S. Tomodachi life shopkeeper’s voice will always be default little boy.
