In Tomodachi Collection: New Life, Miis will often request food as one of their everyday problems. This indicates that they are Hungry. Feeding food will cheer up the Mii, or calm them down when they feel frustrated or sad. They do not need to be fed and can go without food. Don't worry if you don't have enough food to feed them all, focus on the ones you want to level up, calm down, cheer up or solve their hunger problem.
Preferences and Favorites
Every Mii will have a list of 7 favorite foods (based off of what they like the most), 2 All-Time Favorite foods, 3 that they'd prefer above others, and 2 All-Time Worst foods. Miis will react in different ways based off of what the player gives them. You can usually guess on their favourite food by giving them similar food. For example if they like sweet things or slightly sour, their most favorite food could be something sweet and sour like a strawberry.
When a Mii is given a food item that is not one of the favorites/worst foods, the Mii will either:
- Smile and jump, showing they really liked the food. Happiness increases based off of how much they liked it.
- Pat his/her belly, showing they liked the food. Happiness slightly increases based off of how much they liked it.
- Frown and tilt their head, showing that they did not like the food. Happiness stays the same.
- Hold their stomachs in disgust (trying not to throw it up), showing they disliked the food. Happiness decreases based off of how much they did not liked it.
When a Mii is given a food item that is one of their favorite foods, the Mii will either:
- Dance around in place and doing break dances, showing that it's one of his/her All-Time Favorite foods.
- Makes a surprised face and blast off into space, showing that it's one of his/her All-Time Favorite food.
When a Mii is given a food item that is one of their worst foods, the Mii will either:
- Bend over as if in pain and start acting like they're almost throwing up.
- Turn gray and melt to the floor, showing that it's the worst food he/she has eaten.
