A Mii being given a Metal Detector in Tomodachi Life

Level-up gifts are items found in Tomodachi Collection and Tomodachi Life. These gifts are different from the normal gifts that can be given to a Mii at any point. These are only obtained by a Mii leveling up.

These gifts are for the Mii's use in their apartments. In Collection, a Mii can own every gift in the game, as there are exactly eight gifts. In Life, only 8 items may be owned by one Mii. If the player tries to give another, they will have to exchange a gift they already own for the new gift. Multiple Miis can interact with a Mii's gift, and can also join in should they have it too.

Tomodachi Collection Gifts

Gifts in Collection will be colored the same as the Mii's set favorite color.

Tomodachi Life Gifts

Unlike in Collection, the gifts are not colored with their Mii's favorite color.

Trivia

• In Tomodachi Collection, soccer balls are treasures instead of level-up gifts.
• In Tomodachi Collection, when a Mii is given a Wii, the sounds and animations made by the Miis suggest that Wii Sports is being played.
• In Tomodachi Life, the Miis hands will clip through the guitar if they are large enough.
• In Tomodachi Life, it is possible for a Mii to use the beauty kit even if they have a mask on.
• In Tomodachi Life, if the player looks closely at a Nintendo 3DS XL, they can see a Mii playing a still version of Tomodachi Life as the apartment screen is visible.
• In Tomodachi Life, when a Mii uses the tennis racket, it shares the swinging sound effects from Wii Sports.
• In Tomodachi Life, when a Mii is using the Wii U, the sounds and animations made by the Miis suggest that Nintendo Land and Game & Wario are being played.
• Often when the player hands a Mii a level-up gift, they may be seen using it right away when the player leaves the apartment.
• Sometimes when multiple Miis are in one Mii's apartment, it's possible for one of the Miis to use a different gift than the other Miis.
• There's a common misconception that the cellphone increases the chance of a Mii having a baby, this is completely false.
• The player will always be required to give the Mii a gift when leveling up. If the player doesn't want to give the Mii, then they can always choose Pocket Money and put $ 0.01 and give it to the Mii.
