An example of relationship statuses in Tomodachi Life that belongs to a grown-up child born from two other mii characters.
When Miis become friends, sweethearts, spouses, etc., their relationship statuses can be displayed by pressing L or R while inside their apartment. Different statuses have different colors, which range from dark green (highest), green, yellow green, yellow, red, purple, and blue (lowest). The higher a Mii's status is with another Mii, the more likely they will become best friends, confess their feelings, propose, or want to have a baby. On the other hand, the lower a Mii's status is with another Mii, the more likely they will get in fights and/or break up.
Occasionally, a Mii will ask the player what they the about the Mii's relationship with another Mii. The player can tell them that they are either great together, okay together, or incompatible. Depending on the option chosen, the relationship status will either go up, stay the same, or go down.

Trivia
- It's possible relationship levels will increase or decrease offscreen while the game isn't turned on.
- It could be possible that when a breakup happens, the Mii that made the request to breakup is relationship level is more likely to go down, and the other Miis relationship level is more likely to rise, however this may not be true, and it's just random.
