Tomodachi Life Wiki

If a future Tomodachi title came out (which would be amazing if that truly happened), this is what I would most want to be included.

I will make sure to update this page regularly.

List of new features

  • The Main Island and Leisure Island will be connected to eachother by a bridge to avoid controversy.
  • There will be 5 new locations. In general, all community venues are now completely dynamic, seeing other islanders arrive in and out, and the view can be moved to anywhere at the venue (for example, in the corner of a room or zooming close into a Mii).
    • Restaurant: A place where couples and familes can dine in to a delicate meal at a fancy restaurant. In order to unlock this place, you must have at least one married couple. Miis can also confess their love here.
    • Movie Theatre: A place where you can watch movies with Miis, and rate them. This place is unlocked when you are randomly given a Movie Ticket from a Mii. Watching a movie increases happiness with the Mii(s) that you invite over. Watching a movie costs more depending on how many Miis you invite to the movie.
    • School: Everyday from 8:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M, children at stages 3-5 will go to school. The player can also watch them learn in their different classes. Sometimes, some children might return home and ask the player to help them with their homework.
    • Mall: All shops have now been formed into one, now known as the shopping mall. All shops can be found here, including the revamped Interiors Shop.
      • The Interiors Shop is now known as the Furniture Shop. You can come here to purchase new furniture for your Mii's to interact and live with. All furniture can be sorted into categories to find the furniture you are looking for. Like all other shops, Miis can take part-time jobs here.
    • The Job Diagnosis from Tomodachi Collection has returned, and Miis can get jobs from the site here in order to earn money. Miis can also have their own virtual money to spend on their own. When they recieve their payday every 3 days, the player can decide to have the money, or turn it down so the asking Mii can use it for their own purposes.
    • Party Room: A room in the Mii Apartments where birthday parties are held. Island milestones (such as population, and problems solved) are also celebrated here. Now, each and every party can be witnessed here. More information on parties can be found down the page.
    • Pharmacy/Hospital: A special place for those who have caught a sickness or injury. The player can take Miis here for medicine or treatment, but it will come at a slight cost for the player. Additionally, players can order medicines no matter if there's a sick Mii or not.
    • The Quirky Questions and Judgement Bay minigames have once again formed into the Question Hall. Both of these will be held at the Question Hall, including a brand new game called Trivia Quiz. The player can watch 4 Miis have a go at the quiz, which they have to answer correctly to win. The player can make their own Questions and Answers to use for the quiz, and then they can see how well they do. There are 3 questions in a game of Trivia Quiz.
    • The designs of Mii Houses can also be customised by the player. Exclusively for Mii Houses, Kid Photos can be taken at the Photo Studio, and be put up on the wall. For Mii Apartments, only Group Photos can be put up in rooms.
  • Mii Houses have also been made more free for the player. They are free to explore whatever room they like, and Miis can alternate between either having a shower or bath. When Miis are cooking in a house, they can also be seen cutting and/or frying real food.
  • Level-Up Gifts have been revamped. For example, the Wii U. The player can be given a Wii U console with a game in particular to go with it. In future level-ups, they can choose more games from the catalog to give to the Mii, but it will not fill up the Level-Up Gift capacity.
  • Chat sessions can now feature Mixed Gender/Date chats, and Child Chats.
  • When a player starts a new save game, unlike the previous game where every single island was the same, instead the player can choose from 6 different island designs. These include:
    • Archipleigo: The original design used from both previous games. These include two islands, one Main Island and a smaller Leisure Island. The only difference is that now both islands are connected by a bridge. The usual activities found in the previous game are found here, and activities also found in Tomodachi Collection have also returned.
    • Tropical: A holiday-like island. The beach is more popular and has much more activities to do there. Activities include the sandcastle competitions, surfing competitions, and more.
    • Desert: A more arid island. Not much rain falls here, and it is hot all year round. The only freshwater source in this map is an oasis, found to the west of the island. Activities include hanging out around the oasis, an exploration lesson, exploring the features of the island, and more.
    • Snowy: An island that regularly has snow from late Autumn to early Spring. The park has more snowy- related activities around the winter. These include a snowball and snowman activitiy, an ice-skating activity, and more.
    • Volcano: An island with a volcano. While it provides a stunning backdrop to the island, it does tend to erupt very, very rarely. If so, some Miis may get injured. Activities include a picture taking tourism activity, a science lesson about the island's feature, and more.
    • Valley: A picturesque island. Around the edges of the island are hills, and they replace the beach. When Miis visit the hills, they can be seen having picnics, laying down, talking with others, etc. Activities here include sledding down the hills, camping in the valley, and more.
  • Mii News has also been revamped. Now it is known as Mii TV, and every hour a new show will be playing on Mii TV. Alternatively, if a TV has been purchased for a Mii's apartment or house, they can watch the channel that is currently playing, and the screen can be seen.
    • List of shows:
    • 12 A.M, 12 P.M: A lunch show. This one differs between the night and day session. For the day session, it is where Female Miis have lunch together and talk about the latest topics and news. On the other hand, the night session is a late-night show, and male Miis can be seen talking about sport and other news.
    • 1 A.M, 1 P.M: A travel guide channel. This is where a few Miis are seen touring another country/city. They can be seen explaining a bit more about the place on TV.
    • 2 A.M, 2 P.M'''''': A documentary channel. The documentary screening in the episode can be based on nature, cities, etc.
    • 3 A.M, 3 P.M: A world news channel. This channel is where the player can see what is happening at other nearby islands.
    • 4 A.M, 4 P.M: A channel based on homes. People can be seen on a show where people build very interesting houses and apartments.
    • 5 A.M, 5 P.M: Sport channel. A soccer, baseball or tennis game will cast on this channel. Any mii(s) that own a tennis racket, football or baseball bat will be playing in the games.
    • 6 A.M, 6 P.M: Trivia/Gameshow channel. Like the Trivia Quiz in the Question Hall, this is where 4 Miis need to answer questions correctly to aim for the top prize. Unlike how the game works in the question hall, this time, any Mii in the top ten most pampered Miis will be the host, and give the other Miis questions to answer correctly.
    • 7 A.M, 7 P.M: The original Mii News channel. Like it was in the previous games, it will cast 2 news reports an episode. All kinds of reports have also been made to be more realistic in a way.
    • 8 A.M, 8 P.M: Cooking channel. A few Miis can be seen cooking, and be guided by another Mii.
    • 9 A.M, 9 P.M: A TV show channel. This is where every time, a different episode for the TV show will play each time.
    • 10 A.M, 10 P.M: A movie channel. Unlike where the actual movie is seen in the theatre, a random movie's trailer will be shown here.
    • 11 A.M, 11 P.M: A music channel. When being watched, a music video will be played. Any song that has been made by the player in the Concert Hall will be chosen as a music video. The type of music video will show up depends on what tune and length the player chose for the song.
  • When the Mii Apartments has been renovated to full capacity, another apartment building will appear, and have the ability to hold another 100 Miis. That means the population cap has increased to 200.
  • Married couples can have the ability to have twins.
  • Birthday parties have been revamped. While the player's birthday is just about the same, now other Miis' parties can now be seen at the Party Room. Now, friends of the birthday Mii can be seen dancing, eating cake, talking and singing Happy Birthday. The birthday Mii can be seen given presents, blowing the candles of the cake, and partying with his/her friends.
  • The concert hall has recieved a big update from the previous game. 4 new categories have been added, and each category for a song now has 5 different tunes to choose from, and 3 different lengths (Short, Medium and Long)
    • Jazz, Country, Enka, and Disco have been added as new song categories.
  • In the Mii Apartments, and when the player interacts with a Mii, instead of them just standing there, they will have their own 'Idle poses', which include:
    • Talking animations (when talking to the player)
    • Expressions, depending on how they're feeling
    • Waving to the player (Entering apartment)
    • Sit down (Occasionally)
    • Excitement (When happy)
    • Crying (When sad)
    • Stomp feat (When angry)
    • Looking at the player shyly (When worried)

  • The voices have been revamped. They all sound clearer now, and subtitles can be turned on or off.
    • New international accents have also been provided. For example, the player can set the Mii's voice to sound Chinese, French, etc.
  • A new Achievements section has been added. There are a total of 100 Achievements to complete, and upon completing them all awards the player a very special prize. Every achievement they earn will give them money, depending on how difficult it has been.
  • If the game would be on a 3DS, travellers can come to the island through SpotPass. They would have a random name parents can give to the baby, and a look chosen from 50 different looks for both genders. A random outfit through StreetPass can be claimed each time the player gets a SpotPass encounter. StreetPass encounters will give out much better rewards.
  • Many glitches from the previous game have been fixed.
  • Graphics have been improved from the previous game. A graphics scale is also provided for the player, and they can change how realistic or cartoony-like the game looks by a scale from 1 to 10.
